The Ostrovského Branch is not wheelchair accessible, but it is community-based and its employees form one big family together with readers and visitors. You can connect to free Wi-Fi or use computers with internet access and black and white printing. We hold cultural and educational events for the public. We focus primarily on history lectures. In the children's section we offer talks for kindergartens and primary schools. It is possible to pay by card in the branch.

The branch is located about 150 m from the bus station No. 137 Santoška, ​​or 50 m from the station Women's Homes (but only in the direction of Na Knížecí); the nearest st. metro „B“ is Anděl – Na Knížecí.
